Healthy Paneer Butter Masala..sounds like an oxymoron..isn't it?

But no trust me its simple and tastes almost like its original counterpart. So what made Paneer Butter Masala turn into Healthy Paneer Butter Masala? well one of the days when I was tried of all the travel food and wanted some yummy home made taste this Healthy Paneer Butter Masala turned out for my rescue. I have replaced cashew with blanched almonds and cream with skimmed milk and everything cooked in just a teaspoon of oil. You can always top it up with butter later incase you wish.

Now don't worry about the taste of Healthy Paneer Butter Masala for its just perfect and purely natural without any colors. Add the spices the way you like and make the best for your family and friends.

Ingredients
  1. Paneer: 250 gms
  2. Onions: 1 big chopped
  3. Ginger Paste: 1 tsp
  4. Garlic Paste: 1 tsp
  5. Tomatoes: 1 chopped
  6. Cardamon: 2
  7. Pepper corns:4
  8. Red chilli: 1 tsp
  9. Salt: to taste
  10. Coriander powder: 1 tsp
  11. Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
  12. Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
  13. Garam Masala: 1 tsp
  14. Tomato Puree: 2 tbsp
  15. Sugar: 1/2 tsp
  16. Turmeric powder:1/4 tsp
  17. Almonds: 6-7 blanched and peeled
  18. Oil: 1 tsp
  19. Milk: 1/2 cup
  20. Kasoori Methi: 1/2 tsp
Instructions
  1. Heat oil and add cumin seeds and cardamoms.
  2. Now add onions and saute till golden.
  3. Mix ginger garlic paste and cook for 2-3 mins.
  4. At this stage add chopped tomatoes and sugar and cover the wok and let it cook on slow for 2-3 mins.
  5. Now add coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, red chilli powder and cook till masala is done.
  6. Now let the masala cool and make a paste with almonds and keep aside.
  7. Next add masala paste in wok and add tomato puree and cook for another 2 mins till you feel masala is cooked properly.
  8. Add garam masala, kasoori methi and milk.
  9. Cook on slow and add Paneer cubes.
  10. Let it come of boil on slow and covered and serve hot with Naan or Parathas.
